How to Turn In Class Work Electronically

Before submitting any file electronically, make sure to include your name as part of the file name! If you forgot to, you'll have to re-open the file and rename it (Save As), before proceeding to step 1.

1) From the desktop, double-click on "My Computer".

2) Double-click on your numbered folder to get inside of it.

3) Select the file you want to submit by selecting it (single-clicking). It will then be highlighted. While pressing the “CTRL” key, press “C” for "copy". A copy of the file will be saved to the clipboard.

4) Minimize the window.

5) Go back to the desktop, and double-click on the “Applied_tech” icon.

6) Double-click on the "Applied_tech" icon again.

7) Double-click on the "Turn-In Folders" icon.

8) Find your class "Turn In” folder, and double-click on it to get inside of it.

9) While pressing the “CTRL” key, press “V” for "paste". The file you copied to the clipboard will be saved to the "Turn In" folder.

BEWARE! Once you have dumped the file into the “Turn In" folder, you will NOT be able to erase or overwrite that file, so make sure the file is perfect before you submit it. If you do discover that you need to re-submit the file, just rename the file something else (like "mick_jones_assignment2_ improved "), and follow these instructions again from step #1.
