Tam retirees have been meeting on a regular basis for many years. Historically, retirees met on or around Labor Day to celebrate their retirement from Tam and rejoice in not preparing for, and starting, the new school year. This was back in the time when school started after Labor Day. Even though the school calendar was revised so that school began mid-August, the retirees continued to meet close to Labor Day. Though the retirees did not meet regularly for a few years, many retirees felt the loss of the yearly get-together. Hence, a committee was formed to revitalize the Tam Retirees group and the newly updated Tam Retirees Group met in February of this year.

Membership includes retirees from Tam High School and those people who may have retired from a different District site but have served a number of years at Tamalpais High School. The membership list is updated on a regular basis.
